6-Month Check up

January 31st

Another round of the same shots as before. Madison took it like a champ, only cried a few seconds and calmed easily.  She is 17 lbs 5 oz and 24.5 inches long (70th percentile for height and I have to check what the percentile is for weight, I forget).  Everything is absolutely perfect, you are growing beautifully.  Mommy goes back to work on Friday and she is not looking forward to being away from her girls.  Only 5 more months and we'll be on summer vacation 💟

Happly 6 Months Madison!

January 29th

Happy 1/2 Birthday Madison.  It went by so quick, but I knew it would 😔.  You are growing so nicely and starting to develop a cute personality.  Daddy calls you smilely because you are always giving us your big beautiful smile all the time. You must be teething because you constantly have your hand in a fist and gnaw on your knuckles. The drool is out of control...seriously 10 bibs a day sometimes just because they get soaked.  You are ticklish, and it's adorable to watch.  I love your laugh!  I love this stage of baby!  The cooing is so cute, at times you gurgle when you talk...I wonder if it's your version of singing.  Livia loves to sing to you, it's precious to watch.  I've tried to video tape you while "singing" but never caught it in full force.  As far as eating, you seem to love everything you've tried.  Cereal, fruits and veggies.  Next week will start daycare since I will be going back to work.  I am not looking forward to leaving both you girls, the only positives are that we will all be on a schedule and mommy will start receiving paychecks again.  Here are your beautiful 6month pictures.

January 26th

So many pictures taken today.  Some of Madison in the play room, some of Livia creating a "show" for her stuffed (and not stuffed) friends.  I also captured some really cite pictures of Madison grabbing at her feet.  She hasn't attempted putting them in her mouth just yet, but I'm sure soon because everything she gets her hands on goes right into her mouth nowadays...she drools on everything!

Life365 portraits

January 18th

On the 18th we had an in-home photof shoot with Life365 (also known as mom365portraits).  Since we ordered from them in the hospital, we received a free in-home shoot with a free 8x10 print. Originally, I was only going to have Madison's picture takend because life365 came to our house when Madison was about 4 weeks old and it was horrible.  I was so excited to get the girls pictures together and it just didn't work out.  So this time around, I thought I wouldn't bother because I was not expecting much.  Well the photographer, Marcello (need to remember his name because I would totally request him again - he was awesome) got some really good pictures.  Livia came up to me and said "Mommy, I like to get my picture taken too". So, I asked Marcello if we could do both girls and he was completely on board.  I felt bad because I really didn't have a coordinating outfit picked out for the two of them to wear - since I thought this shoot would have been a flop like the first.  Well, after viewing the shoot, I just knew the pictures were going to be beautiful, and they were! On Saturday, we had a a web appointment to view the pictures.  The pictures turned out gorgeous. We received the pictures in the mail today (the 24th) There were so many pictures to choose from.  There were even pictures of Livia and Madison where Madison was in another outfit...there were too many to pick from.

Rainy Monday

January 23rd

Not too much time left at home with the girls.  I go back in a little over a week. Spent the entire day inside, the weather was cold, wet and rainy.
